The last time void creatures were observed to tread on soil , far away Eldham and Rathnir did not bear witness to the void horrors , massive hordes with savage creatures , led by disgraced gods and commanded by voidlings such as the Draconblood, in crusades against the light . In these far away lands were born the "Legion" variety of warforged, whose mentallity was much alike the one of crazed maniacs , but with a sense of loyalty to the strongest of the warband . With bodies made of blackstone , and many having steel claws , jaws and armor pieces hammered into their bodies , they were much alike the void horrors that invaded . When the earth shattered , and all who were truly alive trembled , one of the last Armies of these Stone-Skin Legionnaires smashed against the unstoppable force , leading to the banishment of the invaders.
There is a fort in Eldham , out of way and out of mind , that keeps guarded and contained one of the few cracks that have been discovered , deep below its main rooms , held strong by ice magic form Chrysnix . Its walls are build in way that allows both internal and external protection , the lower floors being tricky to take, forcing the enemy to go into void-corrupted rooms and labirynths , weakining them using silvermist , a by-product of the silvering roses and the knights that use them to swear oaths . Unless the gazer atop the tower is defeated, its master killed or the void freed , its curse will never break.
No one knows who built the fort , why or even how, as it withstood centuries of existance , being heralded by the people it manages to trap with its curse , and controled by the entity known as the "Corrupted Vasariah" , a magical eye that steers ships to smash against the montainous base of the keep. The spell keeps all who set foot on its shore unable to leave, forcing them to battle against the void until they perish , reviving their souls to keep on fighting, because the void must not escape.
The fort uses silvermist as a way to appear and dissapear , dragging down to the bottom of the sea most who try to break the cycle of burning away the corruption with the souls of the unfortunate , and among those people, there are some who choose to serve.
